Privacy policy
Last updated October 29, 2026
Your trading records are personal and financial. This policy explains, in plain language, what we collect, why, who helps us run the service, and how you stay in control. The short version: we collect only what the journal needs, we never sell your data, and you can download or delete it at any time.
1. Who we are
Valenso is a trading workspace, for recording trades and reviewing performance, operated by TAM Ventures LLC (“Valenso”, “we”, “us”). We are responsible for the personal information described here. You can reach us at support@usevalenso.com or by post at [Mailing address for legal notices].
2. What we collect
We collect only what the journal needs to work:
- Account details: your email address, a securely hashed version of your password (we never see or store the password itself), the date you signed up and accepted these terms, and your time zone.
- Your journal: everything you enter, including trading account names, symbols, fills, prices, quantities, fees, plans, setups, mistakes, emotions, theses and notes.
- Technical information: when you use the site, our hosting and database providers automatically record your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time, to deliver the service, keep it secure and diagnose problems.
We do not ask for, and you should not enter, brokerage logins, account numbers, Social Security numbers or payment card details. We do not connect to your brokerage.
3. How we use it
- To run your account and show your journal, statistics and calendar back to you.
- To send emails you need: confirming your address, resetting your password, and important notices about your account or the service (for example, before early access ends or these policies change).
- To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and fix problems.
- To meet legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, share it for advertising, or show you ads. We do not use your journal to make trading recommendations, and we do not share it with brokers or other traders.
Where the law requires a legal basis (for example in the UK or EU), we rely on performing our contract with you, our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure and working, and legal obligations.
5. Who processes your data for us
We use a small number of service providers, under contracts that limit them to processing data on our behalf:
- Supabase: database, sign-in and file storage. Your data is stored in the United States.
- Vercel: website hosting.
- Our email delivery provider: sends account emails such as confirmations and password resets.
TradingView. The Charts page embeds a chart provided by TradingView, Inc. When you open it, your browser connects directly to TradingView, which receives technical information such as your IP address and browser details, and may set its own cookies. TradingView is an independent company, not our processor: its own privacy policy applies to that chart, and we do not send it your journal, your email address or your account details. Symbols you look up inside the chart are handled by TradingView.
When paid plans launch, payments will be handled by Stripe, and we will update this policy before then. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public, or as part of a merger or sale of the business, in which case this policy would continue to apply to your data.
6. How we protect it
All traffic to the site is encrypted (HTTPS), and data is encrypted at rest by our database provider. Passwords are stored only as secure hashes. Each user's journal is isolated at the database level, so one user cannot read another's records, and we test those rules. Access to production systems is limited to people who need it.
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal information, we will tell you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.
7. How long we keep it
We keep your account and journal while your account is open. When you delete your account in Settings, your login and every trade, fill and note in it are deleted from our live database straight away. Copies in our providers' backups are removed as those backups expire, normally within 30 days. Server logs are kept for a limited period for security and then deleted.
8. Your choices and rights
- Download: export all of your trades and fills as a CSV file from the Journal at any time.
- Correct: edit any trade, or change your time zone and password in Settings.
- Delete: delete your account and all of its data from Settings.
- Ask us: email support@usevalenso.com to request access to, correction or deletion of your personal information, or to ask a question. We will respond within 30 days and will not treat you differently for asking.
California residents: you have the right to know, access, correct and delete personal information, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law.
UK and EU residents: you also have the rights to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to complain to your local data protection authority. Your data is stored in the United States; where required we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses for that transfer.
9. Children
Valenso is for adults. You must be 18 or older to use it, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone younger.
10. Changes to this policy
If we make a material change, we will email you and update the date at the top of this page before the change takes effect. Smaller clarifications are posted here.
